Development of the economies of the countries of the region 2. Digitization and Logistics 4.0 3. Automation 4. Smart Port – Autonomous vessels 5. Cybersecurity 6. Community Builder 7. Application of IMO Standard A main stage as well as a conference room with all the necessary infrastructure will be implemented so that the rapporteurs and attendees can participate\, either live or through our Trans-Port Connect platform. \nPanel 1 – 27th\, 12:00 The Next Generation of Decarbonization Infrastructure and transport – Closing the circle of sustainability without giving up economic and social wealth\nThe new-generation maritime-port industry is making decisive progress in the materialization of public and private initiatives that allow reaching the goals of zero net emissions between 2030 and 2050. There is significant progress in the substitution of fossil fuels for renewable energy technologies that is laying the foundations important to the entire industry. Progress is being made in putting on offer new environmentally friendly port infrastructure in addition to the replacement of polluting assets while economic returns are not compromised. SUMMARY:IMO-UNEP-Norway Innovation Forum
DESCRIPTION:The IMO-UNEP-Norway Innovation Forum is a two-day hybrid (live in person at the IMO Headquarters in London and virtual) global platform aimed at championing innovation to accelerate the transition of the marine sector towards a zero- and low-emission future. It will be held on 28 and 29 September 2022 and will focus on addressing the specific needs of developing countries\, especially Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).  The Forum is linked to the IMO World Maritime Day theme 2022 “New Technologies for Greener Shipping”\, with a special emphasis on inclusive innovation for decarbonization of maritime sector. \nThe event is supported from the Government of Norway\, the IMO Secretariat and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in order to promote innovation by providing a global platform to exchange best practices and fill necessary gaps by gathering ideas and latest developments from all competent international policy makers.
