2025 has been a constructive year for ARC, as the company continues contributing practical hydrogen risk assurance and compliance expertise to the zero-emission transition. A recent onshore project with Gold Hydrogen on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia involved mitigating the associated risks of natural hydrogen presence during drilling and well-testing operations, providing ARC’s team with valuable real-world exposure to hydrogen behaviour, system readiness, and operational controls. These insights directly strengthen ARC’s readiness to support the imminent introduction of hydrogen to maritime applications.
Across this project, ARC delivered facility acceptance and assurance prior to operation commencement, completed hazardous area zone compliance, and carried out detailed validation and verification of third-party equipment and systems. Collectively, these activities reinforced the disciplined risk-mitigation processes required when integrating hydrogen into any operational environment.
Looking ahead to 2026, ARC remains committed and welcomes further engagement with ZESTAs members, continuing to share field-tested insights and support the safe commercial deployment of hydrogen within the maritime sector.
