SMM is one of the world’s leading maritime trade fairs, bringing together shipyards, equipment manufacturers, technology developers, classification societies, shipowners and service providers from across the global maritime industry. The event combines a large-scale international exhibition with high-level conferences and technical forums addressing ship design, propulsion systems, digitalisation, energy transition and maritime infrastructure.

The 2026 edition will take place from 1 to 4 September 2026 at Hamburg Messe und Congress, positioning Hamburg once again as a central meeting point for the international maritime sector.

SMM is organised by Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH, the official exhibition authority of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
