Swedish fuel cell company PowerCell Group has made significant practical progress this year.
A major step was securing the contract to equip the world’s first hydrogen-powered bulk carriers
with a Marine System 225 installation delivering more than 3 megawatts of power.
Alongside this, the company received major orders for the M2Power 250 and a next-generation marine fuel cell system.
PowerCell also ramped up production, completed milestone deliveries, and won a supplier award from shipbuilder Fincantieri.

The Marine System 225 received Type Approval from Lloyd’s Register, providing a key regulatory clearance for commercial installation.

Backed by Robert Bosch GmbH, PowerCell launched the first products in its new power generation portfolio, supporting clean shore power and off-grid solutions.
The company also expanded its strategic collaboration with Bosch to accelerate fuel cell adoption in China.
Activity this year shows steady progress from development to commercial rollout.
