TOWT continues to progress the deployment of its Phoenix-class sailing cargo vessels. Earlier this week, ATLAS, the fourth vessel in the series, entered the water for the first time at the Bason shipyard in Vietnam, marking the start of controlled ballasting ahead of final outfitting and commissioning. In parallel, TradeWinds reports that TOWT has published operational data from its first full year of service. According to the article, the company’s two operational vessels spent a majority of their voyage time using sail as a primary propulsion mode, including significant periods under pure sail, with engines used either partially or alone for the remainder. Additional Phoenix-class vessels are expected to join the fleet this year as TOWT expands operations.
