WindTracX introduces an innovative Wind-Assisted Propulsion System (WASP) engineered to deliver high-efficiency traction. The system can be used without stopping throughout the entire year, significantly reducing fuel consumption and associated carbon tax.
Our autonomous rigid-wing Aero Drone-Kite differentiates itself through active flight control, higher aerodynamic efficiency, highly redundant control systems, and rapid deployment capability. The result is a safer, faster, and more reliable wind solution for bulk carriers and tankers.
Thanks to its high payload capacity, the system can also host on board sensors such as weather station and vision sensors, as well as counter-drone for anti-piracy solutions. This enables enhanced aerial surveillance and more accurate weather forecasting locally, helping optimize routing, and further reduce fuel consumption.
High-Altitude Autonomous Kite
WindTracX captures wind energy at high altitudes, operating at around 300 m above sea level where winds are stronger and more consistent.
On average, wind speeds at this height are about 20% higher than closer to the sea surface (around 30 m), that is translated in 40% more trust, as the speed increase traction in a quadratic way.
No Deck Interference, Minimal Structural Impact
Unlike rotor sails, rigid wings, or suction sails installed mid-deck, WindTracX is installed at the bow, an area already structurally reinforced for anchoring equipment
This means:
- Minimal deck structural modifications
- No loss of usable deck space
- No interference with cargo handling during docking
WindTracX preserves full deck availability and operational flexibility making it perfectly suitable for bulk carriers and tankers.
