Announcing ADB’s New Flagship Maritime Decarbonization Initiative
The Zero Emissions Ship Technology Association (ZESTAs) Secretary-General, Madadh MacLaine, will participate in the Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s side event at the Moana Blue Pacific Pavilion on 20 November to mark the launch of their Maritime Decarbonisation Initiative (MDI).
The panel will include Leah Gutierrez (Director General, Pacific Department, ADB), Jamie Leather (Director, Transport, ADB), Ramesh Subramaniam (Director General, Sectors Group, ADB), Bruno Carrasco (Director General, Climate Change and Sustainable Development, ADB), R. Duncan McIntosh, PhD (Senior Regional Maritime Specialist, ADB), Camille Bourgeon (Technical Officer, Marine Environment Division, IMO), Minerva Lim (Senior Sustainability Manager, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore), and Atina Schutz (Special Assistant Attorney General, Republic of the Marshall Islands).
Other participants include high-level officials from ADB’s Developing Member Countries, as well as partners such as the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme and industry leaders.
Madadh will highlight ZESTAs’ work in advancing Absolute Zero Emissions Shipping and share insights from Zero Emissions Maritime Technology’s hydrogen infrastructure projects.
