ZESTAs Secretary General Madadh MacLaine will be moderating two panel discussions at TRANS-PORT 2022

Trans-Port 2022 will be developed in 3 days with a complete program of Seminar and Technical Talks on some of these or other topics linked to the present and future of the maritime-port industry: 1. Development of the economies of the countries of the region 2. Digitization and Logistics 4.0 3. Automation 4. Smart Port – Autonomous vessels 5. Cybersecurity 6. Community Builder 7. Application of IMO Standard A main stage as well as a conference room with all the necessary infrastructure will be implemented so that the rapporteurs and attendees can participate, either live or through our Trans-Port Connect platform.

Panel 1 – 27th, 12:00 The Next Generation of Decarbonization Infrastructure and transport – Closing the circle of sustainability without giving up economic and social wealth

The new-generation maritime-port industry is making decisive progress in the materialization of public and private initiatives that allow reaching the goals of zero net emissions between 2030 and 2050. There is significant progress in the substitution of fossil fuels for renewable energy technologies that is laying the foundations important to the entire industry. Progress is being made in putting on offer new environmentally friendly port infrastructure in addition to the replacement of polluting assets while economic returns are not compromised. In this context, it is important that all actors in the transport and infrastructure services chain have a roadmap for CO2 reduction that allows them to achieve operational, environmental and economic objectives.
