Sinoscience Clean Energy is developing a 35 tonnes-per-day (TPD) hydrogen liquefaction system designed for large-scale liquid hydrogen production.
The single-train system combines hydrogen liquefaction, continuous ortho-para hydrogen conversion and high-efficiency cryogenic refrigeration technologies.
According to Sinoscience, the system is designed to reduce energy consumption and lifecycle costs compared with conventional hydrogen liquefaction solutions. The company reports target reductions of 40% in energy consumption, 40% in CAPEX and 70% in OPEX.
With a production capacity of 35 TPD, the system is intended to support large-scale liquid hydrogen production and the development of hydrogen transport and international clean hydrogen supply chains.
Sinoscience describes the system as one of the largest single-train hydrogen liquefaction systems globally.
The first 35 TPD unit is expected to be completed in 2026, representing a further step towards the commercial deployment of large-scale hydrogen liquefaction technology.
